Eloping is an intentional choice to keep your wedding day about what matters most. Whether you want to get married in your living room, along the Fundy coastline at sunset, on the dock of your camp, or at the place you first met - the possibilities are endless when you choose to elope.

What we do:
We help couples plan their perfect-for-them elopements in New Brunswick.
We work with couples who want more than a legal formality. Our couples want a careful, thoughtful, and meaningful ceremony. We take time to listen to your story - from how you first met to why you have chosen each other as a life partner. Your story is sacred and your ceremony will be designed and written to honour it.
Deanna will be your officiant, weaving together your story to create a sacred space and a personal script for your elopement ceremony.
We work with couples who believe that beautiful, timeless and honest photography is an essential part of this important moment in your lives. This is a remarkable event and your photographs will help bring you back to this moment time and time again when you want to remember the commitment you made.
Shannon-May will be your photographer, creating images that feel like you and capturing the authenticity of your wedding day.
Who are we?
We are Deanna and Shannon-May - your New Brunswick Elopement Team.
They say weddings are a great place to meet someone. This was certainly true for us. We met at one of the most beautiful and difficult wedding ceremonies either of us had been to. Both of us were volunteering our services to a couple in their home. Deanna performed their marriage ceremony while they were cuddled up together in a hospital bed and Shannon-May was there to document the tender, joy filled and difficult moments
Creating sacred space for them to share their love for one another through intimate vows, painful laughter, and deep sadness and photographing these moments was an incredible honour. This was their wedding ceremony and their final days together. The circumstances were tragic but we knew something incredible happened in that room that day.
When you meet someone in these circumstances you know there is so much more to them than the trade they have chosen. Both Deanna and Shannon-May have a passion for people and their stories and this is what brings them together. Creating New Brunswick Elopements allows us to create beautiful and intimate soul moments with you and your partner.

Deanna Balcarras (she/her)
Deanna, along with her husband and 3 kids are new arrivals to New Brunswick. She’s excited to bring her passion for people and belief that everyone has a story worth telling. Bringing her relaxed and professional west coast style to the east coast, she is ready to help you craft a personalized, one-of-a-kind ceremony that tells your sacred love story. Shannon-May Pringle (she/her)
Shannon-May is one of New Brunswick’s premier wedding photographers, having photographed more than 165 weddings and elopements since 2011. She is known for her candid, timeless, and honest imagery while making her clients feel comfortable and natural in front of the camera. Shannon-May is passionate about weddings and preserving this remarkable life event for each couple she works with. New Brunswick Elopements accepts a limited number of elopement commissions each year to ensure that we are delivering the best service to couples who want the heart-centered elopement experience we've created.
Our elopement packages are available for Mondays - Thursdays only, and are ideal for elopements that will be celebrated with 8 witnesses or less.
