Where to Elope in New Brunswick

When you choose to elope in New Brunswick, the location possibilities for your elopement ceremony are endless.

There are beautiful venues—such as the Algonquin Resort or Kingsbrae Gardens, throughout New Brunswick that would be delighted to host your intimate ceremony. And our province is not lacking in beautiful coastal, country, or natural forested spaces. As long as you're not trespassing on private property you can say “I do” anywhere when you elope.

Without a big guest list to accommodate you can look outside the norm and choose locations that you are already connected to such as the living room where you first fell in love, your family's cottage where you’ve spent copious evenings chatting around a bonfire, or a rocky cliff on the New Brunswick coastline where you had your first fight and made up.

Skip to the end to read a short, curated list of venues in Southern New Brunswick to consider for your elopement, or keep reading if you’d like to learn how Elope! New Brunswick will help you choose your perfect-for-you location.

How to choose a location for your elopement ceremony

One of the first things we do when working with couples who are planning their New Brunswick Elopement is to help them find a location—their perfect-for-them elopement ceremony location. And, our process goes way beyond finding something that is just pretty and picturesque.

We believe that the location of where you begin your married life together should be chosen with the same intention as your vows or your the rings you will exchange. Because this space—the place where you stand holding hands and making promises, is part of a dramatic moment in your lives and will be forever tied to the day you were married.

So, by meeting with you, getting to know you, and learning what is important to you, we work hard to find the perfect location for your New Brunswick elopement ceremony.

Shannon-May and Deanna truly understood not only our vision for the ceremony but who we were as individuals and as a couple.

I am a lover of nature, the trees and ocean call my name. Trevor loves history and his devotion to the Canadian military and the people he loves is what makes him such an amazing person.

To be able to say "I do" ocean-side under a spring tree just waiting to bloom, in the shadow of the cannons and historical site in St. Andrews was a dream come true.

Choose a location you’ve always wanted to experience together.

You can choose a place that you've never shared together but that you want to have as part of your continuing story. And in an ideal world, this location will become a place you return to, time after time, to remember and celebrate your marriage—to create a tradition to revisit over and over again.

Or, choose an elopement ceremony location that represents the dramatic, once-in-a-lifetime experience that your wedding day will be!

A new location will become a place that you will feel connected to and represents the hopes you shared for your future together at the same moment it became an important part of your past.

Some of our favourite picturesque places to date where the Elope New Brunswick team has helped couples create new experiences include the nature trails and beach of New River Beach, the beaches of St. Andrews, a seaside cottage in Chamcook, and inside the Fundy Trail Parkway. We are always working to identify new spaces that will speak to our couple's hearts and will align with their vision for their elopement ceremony.

Choose a location that is already part of your love story.

You can choose a location that already exists in your love story and that you want to revisit as you begin a new chapter. And, one of our favourite things to do is help couples identify where this place can be.

This can be the beach where you first met as children. It can be the place where you first exchange “I love yous” or where you decided that you wanted to marry each other.

Your elopement ceremony can be on the boat or on the nature trails where you spend every weekend together. Or it can be at the resort where you stayed during your first trip together.

It can be on the deck of the cottage you rent every summer on the St. Croix River or in the living room of the first home you bought together.

Without a big guest list to accommodate the possibilities truly are endless and we always like working with couples who want to look outside the norm to choose an elopement ceremony location that is deeply personal—a location that no one else might ever choose.

Stay focused on what the day is about and make your elopement ceremony location meaningful

Whatever location you select, it's important to keep the focus on what the location will mean to you and the commitment you're making to each other there as you hold one another's hands and vow to love no matter what.

Whatever location you choose, make it meaningful and not simply about choosing a picturesque location.
